New Series: This is Us

Hi guys,

Today I'd like to tell you about this new series that premiered yesterday: This is us.
It's the story of four people who were born on the same day and of how they are connected. It lasts 45 minutes and I must say that this pilote episode has me waiting for the next episode!

First of all, it starts by showing the naked butt of Milo Ventimiglia, and that's definitely an eye catcher... More seriously, it's family-oriented, so possibly more of a feminine-crowd pleaser. It made me feel good in my heart, with a little tear dropping and a mind-blowing end when you see the whole picture! Everything I'm personally looking for in a mid-week series.

The lesson of this first episode: "when life gives you lemons, no matter how sour, you can make lemonade." I'll leave you here with the trailer. If you watch it, please comment to leave your impressions (even if your English isn't perfect!)

Back to school, back to... TV!

I've been working really hard lately to prepare for the new school year! I haven't finished everything yet, but I am SO EXCITED!

Yes, to go back to school. No, I'm not crazy. Because... September means: The Start of the New Series Year too!!!

Yes, I'm a series fan. Sometimes I'm even a series addict. And seriously, this summer I binge-watched "Stranger Things" in two evenings, and I loved it, but that's not enough. I want more. Much more.

So before I make a few suggestions to you, here is what you should keep in mind:

• If you love series too, this is a great way to improve your skills in English: vocabulary, listening skills, social expressions, idioms and therefore speaking skills.
• Of course you have to watch them in English... with English subtitles. 
• Don't stop every time you don't understand something. Just make a few notes of words or expressions you want to learn or check: about 10 - 15 per episode maximum. 
• The point is to have fun. You MUST be lazy on this!
